White Fused alumina is produced by fusing calcined alumina in an electric arc furnace. This white fused alumina lumps is then crushed and graded to produce WFA grains and fines for abrasives and refractories.
WFA is used extensively used in vitrified abrasives in critical areas where Iron free grinding is required.
In refractories WFA is used in high alumina bricks, castables and continuous casting refractories.

Brown fused alumina is widely used in bonded and coated abrasives for the grinding of metals. Produced by fusing calcined bauxite in a reducing atmosphere, this help in removing residual sulphur & carbon and improves toughness, thus an ideal material for vitrified abrasives usage. Zirconia alumina is used for producing abrasives of very high toughness with long life. Produced by cleaning and crushing fused electocast blocks, it has nil porosity, high density and excellent refractoriness. Semi Friable Alumina is low titanium brown fused alumina. We call semi-friable fused alumina.
