Ferrosilicon nitride takes Si3N4 as essential component, accompanying with free iron, non-nitrided ferrosilicon and other mixture. White commercial ferrosilicon nitride for fire retardance is grey white (or dark brown) powder, and ferrosilicon nitride for steelmaking is grey white grains.
